Steady on FFS.

What struck home yesterday was watching the game with an Arsenal, Man United and Spurs fan who were all absolutely gob smacked at how good we were yesterday particularly when Sakho came on.

None of them had really watched us (why would they) nor taken much notice of Sakho, but all three were gob smacked at how underrated we are and Sakho is.

All the press has been on Southampton and we've been massively overlooked.

The time to judge will be his second season!

Have the current owners ever sold anyone that we didn't want to be sold?

Can't think of anyone bar Parker and that was an untenable situation that the player created.

Of course, under their stewardship we've not had many players that we've been particularly keen to keep (until this season).

Nice one Eggy.... you can see why he was mentioned for England... great start that was... and then he trod in a dog shit and it all started going a bit Pete...

Apologies if this has been mentioned earlier, but isn't that 7 in 7 now for Sakho? The guy is an absolute goal machine. I can't remember West Ham being this threatening in front of goal in my lifetime (admittedly am only 34).

Just looking at this stage of the season that year Small had 14 goals already (11 league goals)

However he only got 4 more all season

You may well be spot on Eggy son... pretty sure he had 11 goals in 14 games or something mental like that... the next 20 he scored 2 I think

You dafty soddy.... more in as Small came from NOWHERE (like Sakho) ... scored goals galore before christmas (like Sakho) ... and then forgot the rules of football after Christmas and became a fucking laughing stock (hopefully NOT like Sakho)...

I think when Smally smashed in that thunderbolt at Highbury a lot of teh papers were calling for him to be included in the England squad... not so many calls the next May
